How to press your DTF transfers
Recommended press settings
- Temperature
- 300–310°F
- Pressure

- Cold peel — let the film cool fully
- Finish press
- 5 seconds after peeling
Test one transfer on a scrap garment first. Garments, films and heat presses vary, so dial in your own settings before pressing a full run.
Step by step
- 1.Cut the individual transfers apart from the gang sheet.
- 2.Pre-press the garment for a few seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
- 3.Position the transfer film side up on the garment.
- 4.Press at 300–310°F with medium pressure for 10–15 seconds.
- 5.Let the film cool completely, then peel it off cold.
- 6.Finish with a 5 second press to set the print.
Printed instructions ship with every order, and we are happy to walk you through it at the shop or over the phone.

+ How much does a DTF gang sheet cost?
A 23" wide gang sheet is $18.00 for 12 inches of length, $32.00 for 24 inches, $45.00 for 36 inches, $70.00 for 60 inches, $130.00 for 10 feet and $240.00 for 20 feet. There is no setup fee and no color limit. Colorado sales tax is calculated at checkout.
+ What is a DTF gang sheet?
A gang sheet is one sheet of direct-to-film transfer with as many designs as you can fit nested on it. You cut the transfers apart and heat press them onto shirts, hoodies, bags, hats or fleece yourself. Every sheet is 23 inches wide, and you choose the length.
+ What sheet sizes are available?
All gang sheets are 23" wide. Choose from 12", 24", 36", 60" (5 ft), 120" (10 ft) or 240" (20 ft) lengths. Larger rolls and custom widths are available by request — call the shop for bulk pricing.
+ How many designs can I fit on a sheet?
Unlimited — you pay for sheet length, not design count. As a rough guide, a 23" x 24" sheet holds about four full-front adult prints, and a 23" x 60" sheet holds about ten.
+ What artwork files do you accept?
Print-ready transparent PNG at 300 dpi is ideal. We also accept PDF, AI, EPS and SVG files. Artwork must be 16MB or smaller. If your file has a solid background, our optional $25.00 layout design service will knock it out and nest it for you.
+ How should I set up my gang sheet artwork?
Submit each design at the exact print size you want it pressed. Leave at least 0.25" of clear space around each design so we can cut the transfers cleanly. Do not mirror the art — we print it correctly for you. RGB or CMYK files both work; we convert to the DTF color space before printing.
+ How fast are DTF gang sheets?
Standard turnaround is 2-3 business days after you approve the free digital production proof. Rush service is $35.00 flat and moves you to the front of the print queue; call (720) 296-2191 first if you need next-day service.
+ Is the proof included, or is that the $25 charge?
The proof is included and free. We email a digital production proof of your sheet layout before anything prints, and we only print after you approve it. The $25.00 charge is a separate optional design service for customers who send loose files and want us to nest and arrange the sheet for them. If your artwork is already laid out, you never pay it.
